About Noovo. The social trip-planning app for friends

Noovo is a social trip-planning app I built for the moment you close the app and the trip actually happens. Not for the feed. For the trip.

Why Noovo exists

I kept watching the same thing happen, to me, to my friends, to people I'd just met. A group chat would light up around some half-formed plan. Lisbon. A long weekend. "We should totally go." And then, almost without fail, it would die. Not for any change of heart. Because no one ever found the overlap. Nobody pinned the dates. Nobody owned the next move. The week passed.

I built Noovo because I got tired of letting those trips slip away. The idea was simple enough that I'm still surprised it didn't exist already: a place where you and your friends could each signal a free week, a destination you wanted, or a person you wanted to travel with, and the overlaps would just show up. No poll. No project manager. No 47-message thread.

What Noovo is

Noovo is a social trip-planning app for friends, built around three signals: who you'd travel with, where you want to go, and when you're free. You bring one of those three; Noovo helps you find the rest using the friends you already follow. The long breakdown of how it works is here.

Most apps assume the trip already exists. Noovo sits upstream of that. At the moment "we should totally go" needs to turn into a date, a destination, and a group on a flight.

What I believe about this

I build for the trip, not the feed. Every feature gets one question: did a trip happen because of it? If not, I cut it. Noovo is technology in the service of being somewhere with people who matter, not a place to scroll while real plans never form. That principle shows up everywhere. No public feed. No engagement-maximising algorithm. No notifications designed to pull you back in for no reason. Just the tools that turn open weeks and shared destinations into flights actually booked.

The three pillars

Every trip I've ever taken started from one of three things, and I bet yours do too:

Noovo's home screen is one interactive map that answers, in real time, the question every trip starts with: who's going to be where, and when?

Where this is going

I started Noovo in early 2026. It's a small team, building deliberately, with input from the people who actually use it. Noovo is built to be opened with intent. A friend just marked the same week you're free. You're claiming a destination. You're locking the dates for a trip the group has been talking about all year. A notification surfaced an overlap you didn't know about. For someone deep in planning, that can be weekly. The rest of the time, the app stays out of the way.

The digital world is loud and tiring enough already. Noovo's job is to earn its place by leading somewhere real. The minutes you spend inside should point at the days you'll spend outside, with the people you actually wanted to be with.

If you want to be part of it, get on Noovo. If you have something to say, we'd like to hear it.

Stop talking about it. Start planning it.
